Your Healthcare Rights and Responsibilities

For more than 20 years, Montserrat has provided the highest quality gastroenterology and general surgery services to communities throughout Queensland.

We place great importance on keeping our patients well informed, safe, and supported throughout their care journey. While our doctors, medical staff, and patient services team guide patients to make informed decisions about their healthcare, it’s equally important that patients understand their rights and responsibilities.

The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights

The national standard outlining what you can expect when accessing specialist care with Montserrat is set out in The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights.

We encourage all patients to watch this video as a quick and convenient way to better understand their rights and responsibilities.

For hearing impaired people, this video is also available in Auslan sign language.
