Qualifications
Dr Lim’s journey in medicine spans across continents, beginning with her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Mangalore University, India, where she graduated with first-class honours in 1996. Following this accomplishment, she pursued a Masters of General Surgery at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, which she completed in 2003.
Upon relocating to Sydney in 2008, Dr Lim further specialised in Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, achieving Fellowship status at Liverpool Hospital in 2011. Her dedication and expertise were recognised with the award of Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014.
Dr Lim has been an esteemed member of the medical team at Bundaberg Base Hospital since 2012, before joining Montserrat Medical Services in 2024.

Dr Lim advocates for accessible, high-quality care through Montserrat’s Rapid and Direct Endoscopy services. Rapid and Direct Endoscopy allows eligible patients to schedule their procedures within two weeks, bypassing the initial specialist consultation when appropriate. This service streamlines the diagnostic process, particularly for those with positive results from Australia’s National Bowel Cancer Screening Program, ensuring timely investigation and reduced wait times for patients.
Privately Insured No Gap Services
As a no-gap provider, Dr Lim ensures that patients with adequate private health insurance incur no out-of-pocket expenses for their procedures, excluding any applicable anaesthetist fees which may be billed separately.

Volunteering & Mentoring
Dr Lim’s medical unit is accredited to train general surgeon trainees. She actively engages in teaching medical students and enjoys imparting her knowledge and surgical techniques to benefit her younger peers.
Outside of general surgery, Dr Lim is a pianist and low carb physician. She enjoys the outdoors, spending time in the garden growing strawberries in winter and relaxing in summer with her family.
