Montserrat Day Hospitals currently accommodates a number of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons who have been accredited through our Credentialing Committee. We only have surgeons who have been accredited through the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS).

You will be provided a quote prior to surgery and all payments are due before the surgery can proceed. Any additional costs will be payable by you.

Dr Jardim holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney and Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from University of Queensland. He is a Fellow and member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) as well as the Australian Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and Australian Hand Surgery Society. Dr Jardim joins Valley Plastic Surgery with a wide range of surgical skills but is particularly interested in reconstructive and peripheral nerve microsurgery, hand and wrist trauma, skin cancer and head and neck reconstruction.

Dr Jardim honed his skills with an Orthopaedic fellowship with the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb team at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and he remains as a staff specialist in the Hand Unit and Plastic and Reconstructive Unit at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

His keen aesthetic judgment and diverse technical skills ensure that the choice of procedures and their performance are optimised for each patient. His surgical philosophy is simple: to combine form and function in tandem with an excellent patient relationship to create the optimum outcome. Outside of his busy practice, Chris and his wife – who is also a surgeon – enjoys spending as much time as possible with his young family.

Hand & Plastic Surgeon (Reconstructive & Plastic)

Dr Cameron Mackay is a highly experienced and well-regarded plastic and reconstructive surgeon who specialises in surgery of the hand and reconstructive microsurgery. Over the last 12 years Dr Mackay has treated patients with a wide variety of reconstructive problems due to trauma and malignancy. He is regularly involved in the multidisciplinary management of complex cases in association with surgeons from other specialties. Dr Mackay believes the challenge in surgery is to try and achieve the best possible results for patients with the least amount of disruption to their lives. He goes to great lengths when undertaking complex and involved cases to ensure that his patients’ expectations are managed alongside their comfortability in what can often be a fraught time.

In addition to clinical medicine, Dr Mackay has continued to be involved in organisational committees and boards. In 2011 Dr Mackay was appointed to the Council of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and served in this position until 2018. On leaving ASPS he took up an elected position as board member for the Australian Hand Surgery Society, a position he continues to hold. In 2014 he served as Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before stepping down to pursue private practice opportunities. He is currently Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at Brisbane Private Hospital and a member of the Workcover Queensland Medical Advisory Panel.

Dr Ingram is a specialist plastic surgeon with over two decades of experience as a specialist.  His training and experience in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery is world-class and second to none.

Dr Ingram is a graduate of the University of Queensland School of Medicine (MBBS) and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), achieving full specialist qualifications with the RACS in two specialties, general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr Ingram provides comprehensive and expert advice and treatment in the following areas of special interest:

  • Aesthetic facial surgery (face/neck lift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty)
  • Breast enhancement surgery (breast enlargement, reduction or lifting)
  • Liposuction (including laser-assisted liposuction)

Mr Mark Hanikeri completed medical training at the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 1993 graduating with degrees in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Mark was admitted to a plastic surgery fellowship training in 1999 and completed 4 years of specialist training at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Royal Brisbane & Woman’s Hospital. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in 2004. Mark concentrates on his private practice at Assure Cosmetic centre and the Western Australian Plastic Surgery Centre.

In 2006, Mark began working at Albany Regional Hospital as a visiting medical officer. Mark and his family have formed a strong bond with Albany which led to them buying a home in Albany in 2009. Mark now consults from the Great Southern Specialist Centre in Mira Mar and has regular monthly surgical lists at Albany Day Hospital. They have now established close and enduring friendships and Albany locals, which draws him and his family to Albany for holidays each year, in addition to the time Mark spends in Albany working.

Mr Hanikeri’s specialist interests are:

• Facial and breast aesthetic surgery after weight loss and pregnancy
• Sentinel lymph node biopsy for melanoma

Dr Matthew Peters is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, holding Fellowships of both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He is the Co-director of Valley Plastic Surgery and Director of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.  Academically, Dr Peters is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine.  He is also a Councillor and is the current Honorary Secretary of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Since obtaining his Fellowship, Dr Peters has worked in both public and private hospitals across Brisbane. He was made Director of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2014, a position that he still maintains to date. In the private sector he is the Co-director of Valley Plastic Surgery, with operating lists at the Brisbane Private Hospital, Northwest Hospital, North Lakes Day Hospital and Chermside Day Hospitals.

Outside of work Dr Peters enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr Juanita Pappalardo, herself a Specialist Ophthalmologist, their four children and two dogs.

Dr. Phil Richardson is a Brisbane plastic and reconstructive Surgeon specialising in cosmetic breast surgery and combined breast and abdominal procedures. These include but are not limited to: breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift and augmentation, breast revision, gynaecomastia, breast implant removal, and tummy tuck surgery. Dr. Richardson has over 18 years’ experience as a practising plastic surgeon, and 12 years specialist training. He has performed over 7,500 surgeries in the past decade helping patients from all walks of life. Dr. Richardson is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australasian Society of Plastic Surgery, the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Richardson graduated from UQ with first class honours in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, before completing his three-year residency at the PA Hospital. He then went on to complete a further four years specialist training through the plastic and reconstructive training program at the PA hospital, Mater Children’s Hospital, and Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane and Melbourne. Dr. Richardson has now been specialising in cosmetic breast surgery for over 18 years across Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.

Dr Richardson works from our Westside Private and North Lakes Day Hospital locations.
